This library contains published records of Lancaster County, the Northern Neck, and Tidewater areas, and many of the counties in Virginia. Holdings also include:

• Microfilm of Lancaster County Court House records dating to 1651, Virginia census records, and Northern Neck counties
• Card index file containing thousands of references to published vital records of Virginia (keyed to the publication's location of the library's shelf)
• Collection of Virginia family histories, county histories, and church records
• Large collection of Virginia vital records
• Index to census records of the Virginia section of the US 1782 - 1860
• CDs of the files of the Freedman's Bank Records and the 1880 Census
